Restaurant Review: Indian Bistro
Our restaurant reviewers head to the Old Market to check out their take on a classic Indian favorite.
The Indian Bistro is a popular Indian restaurant located in Omaha, Nebraska, on the corner of 10th and Howard street that serves a wide range of traditional Indian dishes. Many customers, including us, praise the restaurant for its authentic and flavorful food, as well as it’s excellent service and welcoming atmosphere.
Indian Bistro has been our favorite go-to Indian restaurant for a while now. They’ve never failed to serve us delicious hot food. After experiencing all kinds of different Indian restaurants around Omaha, this one has always remained our favorite.
One of the standout dishes at the Indian Bistro is the chicken tikka masala, a classic Indian dish made with marinated chicken cooked in a creamy tomato-based sauce. Other popular menu items include the lamb vindaloo, which is a spicy curry dish made with tender lamb, and the butter chicken, which is a creamy and slightly sweet dish made with boneless chicken.
We decided to order the chicken tikka masala with 2 different spice levels, lamb vindaloo, and a side of garlic naan. Everything we ordered came out at the perfect temperature, not too cool or hot. The chicken tikka masala did a fantastic job holding up to its most famous dish name.
In terms of the restaurant’s atmosphere, we have to comment on the warm and inviting ambiance, with cozy lighting and comfortable seating. The staff has also received high praise for their friendly and attentive service, making the dining experience all the more enjoyable. It is to keep in mind that the restaurant’s prices can be a bit higher compared to other Indian restaurants in the area, but we agree that the quality of the food justifies the cost.
Overall, if you are a fan of Indian cuisine and are looking for a tasty and authentic dining experience in Omaha Nebraska, the Indian Bistro is definitely worth considering and we definitely recommend it. We rate our experience at Indian Bistro a solid 8.5/10
