The National Honor Society’s annual food drive is about to come to a close. Accepted items will be donated to Completely Kids, an organization that provides after-school and weekend meals for struggling children. Without walking a day in their shoes, it can be hard to truly understand the hardships that these innocent kids face from a young age. Service learning is an essential part of Brownell Talbot’s education plan. Thus, NHS members encourage students to go beyond going to the grocery store or raiding the pantry: collecting from neighbors or family members is a fantastic way to spread Completely Kids’ message and cultivate empathy beyond our kitchen cabinets. With three days left, NHS members urge you to open your hearts, embrace service learning, and strive for food collection improvement.
