Clare:
Planners have been a game-changer for me. Being able to physically have the week ahead laid out in front of me helps me organize my thoughts and extracurriculars efficiently. Especially when it comes to staying late at school for volleyball games 2 nights a week, being able to see the week ahead helps me plan out when to do what assignment. And while it may sound very obvious, using study halls makes all the difference in preventing late-night and early-morning homework sprints!
Sidra:
Using my time well has been what’s helped me. I like to use my study halls and free time during the week to get as much work done as I can, that way I can work or hang out with my friends on the weekend stress-free. Another thing is that every day I create a schedule in my notes app with how I’m going to use my study halls and evenings to complete schoolwork. That way, I know what I’m getting done and it helps me have free time on the weekends.
Calvin:
Honestly, I have only had moderate success in using planners, or scheduling my time between extracurriculars and schoolwork. It’s a balancing act in with no clear-cut solutions. The only thing that has worked for me was a Google Doc with all my homework and/or obligations written on it. That doc and itemized lists of homework work well for me.
