The name might sound intimidating, but as our video shows, putting together these delicious deserts is actually a lot of fun and not as challenging as other, more traditional Valentine’s Day delicacies.
Ingredients:
- 1 stick (4 ounces) unsalted butter, plus more for greasing the ramekin
- 6 ounces bittersweet chocolate
- 2 eggs
- 2 egg yolks
- 1/4 cup sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting the ramekins
Directions:
- gather the ingredients
- preheat oven to 450°F. Butter and lightly flour ramekins
- melt butter with chocolate over a stove on low heat
- In a separate bowl, mix eggs, egg yolks, sugar, and salt until thickened and pale
- whisk the chocolate until smooth
- combine the chocolate and egg mixtures
- spoon batter into ramekins and bake for 12 minutes, or until sides of the cake are firm but centers are soft
- let cakes cool in ramekins for 1 minute then put a plate on them, carefully turn each cake over, let it sit for 10 seconds, and start to unmold
- Optional: add vanilla ice cream on the side
