Fun in the Sun: Spring Break Statistics

Hayden Steffens and Taylor Rewczuk interviewed the following upperclassmen on their whereabouts during spring break: Nya Ping with Abbi Gibbs, Calvin Snyder, and Violet Vacanti.

Where did you go for spring break? I’m sure that’s a question you get when spring break ends and school is back in session. We interviewed a few high school students and found out that the majority of them stayed home.

We found that 70% of the students stayed home and 30% left the state. One student traveled to The Mall Of America in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Others were smart and went somewhere warm: Florida. Watch this video to see the inside scoop of where and what students did over their spring break.

Hayden Steffens is a current Sophomore at Brownell Talbot College Preparatory School and this is her first year on the Verbatim staff. Hayden enjoys capturing moments in time with photography and in her free time she enjoys being active by playing lacrosse for Duchesne and competing around the country in horse competitions.

Taylor Rewczuk, Staff Writer

Taylor Rewczuk is a current sophomore at Brownell Talbot and this is her first year on the Verbatim staff. Taylor enjoys exploring her community and trying new things. In her free time, Taylor enjoys playing basketball and softball for school, she also is on the cheerleading team. Outside of school, Taylor plays club softball for Millard and trap shoots for Ashland.

Corinne Van Winkle, Staff Writer

Corinne is a current sophomore at Brownell Talbot College Preparatory School, and she enjoys trying new things frequently, as well as being involved in lifting, track, and lacrosse, as well as being in her first year of cheerleading. In her free time, she spends most of her time in the gym, with her friends, or at work. This is her first year on the Verbatim staff, and she is looking forward to exploring new things while being on the staff.

Abbi Gibbs, Podcast Specialist

Abbi Gibbs is a current sophomore at Brownell Talbot and this is her second year on the Verbatim staff. Abbi enjoys interviewing members of the BT community about activities and athletics. When she isn't working on Verbatim, Abbi enjoys playing volleyball, basketball, and track for school. Outside of school, Abbi plays club soccer for Gretna.
