As a new school year begins, the senior class is filled with a mix of excitement and nostalgia. It’s a year to reflect on the past, embrace the present, and look forward to the future. With one final year ahead, the Class of ‘25 is ready to make it the best one yet, with every moment serving as a chance to make lasting memories. For the September edition, we’ll do a double highlight with Liam Garrigan, taking a snapshot of his life and sharing his story with all.
Liam has been at Brownell Talbot since 2011, so it’s his fourteenth year here. He said, “The best part about BT is the lifelong friendships I’ve made. I’ve known many of these people for a decade and a half.”
On campus, Liam participates in theater, swimming, vocal music, politics club, and yearbook. He’s also done tennis and golf in previous years. Outside of school, he likes to garden, ski, bike, and listen to music.
Liam shared some of his favorite memories from his activities: “All the swim meet memories I’ve made since I was in kindergarten have and will stick with me. I remember a swim meet where Ingrid and I were drawing on a hard boiled egg and almost missed our race because of it. We’d also eat skittles before every race except for the purple ones because they were bad luck.”
When asked what one of his favorite classes has been, Liam said, “Probably one of the history classes. I couldn’t choose which one though.”
Liam is hoping to end his high school years on a good note and make senior year his favorite one yet. However, he said, “Nothing has come close to beating sophomore year yet.”
When thinking about college, Liam said, “As of writing this, I’m in between career paths and majors, but whatever I do, I’ll enjoy what it is.” He’s most looking forward to the senior trip as he knows it will be a ton of fun.
For Liam, graduating is a bittersweet feeling: “I’m sad to leave all the memories behind me but very much looking forward to the years to come.”
To end, he shared wise advice for underclassmen: “There’s no such thing as an ‘easy’ AP.”
