For this month’s edition of Revered Raiders, we interviewed alumna Bavishya Bachu. As the older sister of Verbatim’s chief editor, she brings not only a family connection but also valuable wisdom for current Brownell Talbot students.
What is your current status?
“I am currently a junior at Northeastern University.”
How did attending BT help you get there?
“BT allowed me to build my academic skills, provided me with extracurricular involvement, and personal growth. Attending BT, prepared me for the future by teaching essential skills, knowledge, and habits that contribute to my day to day life.”
What are some plans you have for the future?
“I aim to earn a Bachelor of Science degree, build a rewarding career in the medical field, and further delve into my passions and interests.”
How/why do you give back to BT?
“I give back to BT by engaging in alumni programs and supporting the tennis community. Having been part of the team throughout my time at BT, I deeply value those experiences and want to contribute to the same positive environment for current players.”
The graduate also had some helpful suggestions to guide underclassmen.
“My biggest advice for current students is to stay consistent,” Bachu said. “Focus on maintaining a solid foundation in core subjects and keeping up with your studies. Don’t hesitate to seek help from teachers or staff—they’re there to support you every step of the way.”
Bachu is just one of many alumni who continue to illuminate the BT community. These inspiring people encourage students to be grateful and make the most of the resources available to them.
