As senior year hits its stride, time starts to feel strange—both rushing forward and standing still. The days are filled with a mix of nostalgia and anticipation, as seniors cherish the moments they have left while also thinking about what comes next.
Senior Amelia Bell has been at Brownell Talbot for thirteen years. She shared, “I love the close-knit community.”
On campus, Amelia participates in volleyball, basketball, Academic Decathlon, choir, and yearbook. She said, “I love getting closer to people on the teams.”
When thinking about her favorite class, Amelia said she loved Ancient History during her freshman year: “Mr. Smith is a really engaging teacher and the content was super fascinating.” Amelia’s favorite grade was ninth grade: “I had the least responsibility and it was a new, fun environment.”
Amelia is most looking forward to Senior Prank and Prom. She has applied to thirteen schools and is waiting on decisions. She shared, “I am super excited to start college, and I really just want to get out of Nebraska.”
To end, Amelia shared some advice: “Enjoy not thinking about college while you can.”
