As we continue to honor our amazing alumni network, we cross paths with current students’ siblings. For this moth’s addition, I spoke with Abbi and Ana Gibbs’ older brother and Dr. Gibb’s son, Jake Gibbs.
What is your current occupation?
“I will begin working as a civil engineer for Kiewet’s foundations department in the spring.” Gibbs is currently graduation from Rose Hulmon Institute of Technology, and played football his freshman year as well.

How did attending BT help you get to your current status?
“BT helped prepare me for college and helped me get into a good engineering program.” Then alumn looked up to Mrs. Meg Harms as a role model and was able to gain a sense of work ethic.

What are some plans you have for the future?
Gibbs plans to expand his career and move up the ladder at Kiewit. He also plans to begin working towards getting his professional engineering license.
How do you give back to BT?
Gibbs attend BT alumni events, such as the Hardwood Hustle, along with his sisters’s sports events and other athletic BT games.

We’re so grateful to have alumni like Gibbs, who keep the Brownell Talbot network alive!
Here was some helpful advice he had for students today!
“My advice would be to take AP classes and get college credit for them to reduce your class load in college.”
