Jana: I probably visit Le Quartier at least once every two weeks. I usually just go to buy their sourdough bread or an occasional pastry. During this particular visit, I decided to buy an iced latte and an oatmeal raisin cookie. I wasn’t too fond of the latte overall. It was pretty average; there are much better lattes just up the street at Blue Line. There wasn’t much of a selection of beverages as well, which is expected as it’s not what Le Quartier focuses on. The cookie I chose was pretty good; it fulfilled its job as a sweet treat. I feel as though Le Quartier better fits the needs of someone who is looking for a quick lunch, pastry, or loaf of bread, not a morning coffee. I will say, most of the food that I have gotten from Le Quartier has been quite delicious. Overall, if you’re craving a good latte or americano, skip Le Quartier and head to another coffee shop, although it’s perfect for your snacking needs.

William: I rarely ever go to Le Quartier because I usually just go to Blue Line instead. When we wak;ed in, the Raisin croissant immediately caught my eye. I absolutely love raisins so I was very excited to try it. I ordered and took the raisin croissant and hot chocolate and sat down. I took my first bite and sip and I was pleasantly surprised. The croissant especially was delicious, it was perfectly baked and still warm, it literally melted in your mouth. And the hot chocolate had a rich chocolatey taste that I really enjoyed. Overall Le Quartier was very solid, I’m definitely gonna go here more often instead of going to Blue Line.
Tanya: We first stopped by Blue Line, but it was packed, so we decided to walk down to Le Quartier instead. I have been there before, but I usually don’t buy anything. The display of the pastries and bread immediately caught my eye. I decided to get the vanilla macaron, and it was a pretty good choice. At first bite, the shell was crisp and slightly hard to bite. But as I continued eating, the texture softened and the flavors began to melt in my mouth. It was a small but enjoyable treat. I would go to Le Quartier again to accompany friends, but I wouldn’t go there on my own.
Katie: I love Le Quartier since it’s so close to school and they have a bunch of great pastries and drinks to choose from. My usual order is an iced caramel latte with a pain au chocolat and a turkey bacon avocado sandwich. For this trip I got a pain au chocolat and a hot chocolate since it was so cold outside and very close to breakfast time. Overall, the pastry was just as tasty as always and the hot chocolate was exactly what I needed to warm up. This month William drove us and I got to sit in the back seat so thankfully this was a very peaceful drive. One would think that William would no longer bother me now that I was not forced to sit next to him, but instead he exercised his creativity to find new ways to get on my nerves.
