For February, the Crafting Culture podcast interviewed sophomores Zayd Khan and Sonu Saxena to share their families’ journey to the U.S.; they both share stories regarding their father and how they adapted to a new cultural environment.

Throughout this podcast, we discussed traditional values, morals, religion, and cultural insights that they wish to uphold in the future. Zayd has roots in Pakistan and Zimbabwe, whereas Sonu has roots in Uttar Pradesh.

Violet Vacanti is currently a 11th grader at Brownell Talbot. She joined Verbatim to explore her creative writing skills and for a fun class to participate in. She plays volleyball and enjoys reading and drawing.

Meelah Haase, Staff Writer

Meelah Haase is a sophomore at Brownell Talbot College Preparatory School. It is her second year at Brownell Talbot. Meelah is excited to be apart of Verbatim. Outside of academics, she is involved in volleyball and soccer. Meelah loves walking her two dogs, and being around family and friends.
