Jana: Blueline has personally got me through my last four years of BT. It is such a classic Dundee spot; It’d be hard to ever give it a bad rating. I ordered an iced matcha latte with oat milk and an apple cider donut. The donut was from Wahoo Bakery, so it was nice to support another small business through Blueline. It was delicious and perfectly paired with my matcha. I have tried a lot of matchas in Omaha but I still believe that Blueline’s is the best. It is deliciously frothy and creamy, the perfect treat on a hot day. I’d rate the whole experience a 10/10.
Tanya: Blueline has always been a classic go-to spot for BT students, so I was excited to make my way back there for a Flex period. I decided to go with their iced caramel latte, expecting something smooth and sweet—especially given how popular the place is. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to my expectations this time around. The drink had a noticeably bitter taste that overpowered the caramel flavor, and the overall balance just felt off. It wasn’t terrible at all—it was still drinkable—but it didn’t hit the mark like I’d hoped.
Katie: [consumed an energy drink she brought in herself]
Hutch: [was present, no comment?]
Dr. Low: The number of dogs off leash that are overrunning the shop notwithstanding, this remains the single best place in Omaha to get a cup of coffee (black). It’s also a great place to read a book, work on a doctoral dissertation (or other school work), eat an in-house / from-scratch pastry, take a class of practicing writers who want the experience of being enrolled in a college-level English class, bring friends from out of town who don’t believe Omaha could possibly sustain a high-quality, small-scale, locally owned coffee shop, and, ideally, walk to from BT’s campus.
