It’s time we understand that the internet blows smokes too frequently. Whether it’s an actor or a politician, a singer or a football player, and now you see where I’m going… The conspiracies and misconceptions add up, and the public just doesn’t get the honest truth. Though, if there’s something that’s finally made its statement of validity, it’s this: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are going to get married!
On Tuesday, August 26th, the couple announced their well anticipated engagement. Taylor’s instagram post featured the caption “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married” with a dynamite emoji and numerous photos. Receiving over 36 million likes in less than two weeks, this post went crazy. My hope was that this would hype up Travis before the Chief’s first game, but instead he took out his own teammate’s shoulder. Friendly fire, am I right? If we put that aside, though, two receptions and a touchdown isn’t too bad!
At 35 years old, Kelce and Swift both have some ways to go in their careers, and no one needs to doubt that. Taylor Swift disclosed that her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl”, will be out on October 3rd. Travis Kelce, as previously mentioned, is not holding back for the NFL’s 2025-2026 season. Will they be able to withhold their relationship, though, is the real question.

Another perspective is that the “relationship” might actually be a business opportunity. A little smoke, perhaps. Aren’t we already concluding that this year’s Super Bowl halftime show will be Taylor swift? A February 25th NBC New York report by Julia Yohe claimed that from “Sept. 24, 2023 and that season’s AFC Championship contest Jan. 28, 2024, Swift generated $366,753,290 for the NFL across all equivalent brand value.” They added another “estimated $634,304,163” for the 2024-2025 season. On the other hand, the New Heights podcast, hosted by Jason and Travis Kelce, has skyrocketed ever since the addition of Swift.
Let’s not jump to conclusions, though, because sometimes relationships do work out for the best. Travis Kelce and Taylor swift seem to have shaken off all the smoke. In fact, they’re straight fire. And we can’t forget, in “Blank Space” Taylor sings, “love’s a game” and Travis Kelce is definitely a player…
