Bounding into the house, sniffing the air, and ripping up the new furniture is all the amazing ways a puppy brings joy to a home. Having a new dog in the house can liven up the disapointed atmosphere of going back to school and summer turning into an already chilly fall. Here I will share the experience of seeing a new dog running around the house and energy it can bring.
Recently, I have had the joy of coming home to see a new puppy sprinting around my house. The atmosphere was already lively when coming home because she had been exploring her new home while chewing on everything in her wake. She immeadietly decided that every toy of my older dog was hers and had dragged out about every ball she could find. Understandably, our older dog who has been with our family for 8 years was shocked to see another puppy had been brought into our lives and was undoubtingly, very annoyed. However, although he growls at her if she gets near, I have hopes that he will soon enjoy the new puppy’s company. Although, she has only used the bathroom inside and has my mom in fear for our couch’s well being, I can confidently say that this puppy is here to say, even though my dad often says “We should take her back.”
The experience of getting a new puppy is a joy that all children wish to have and there is no better time than now to make that dream come true, as my family did. Even though it is a big risk to your clean home, it is a risk everyone should be willing to take.
