Everyone has been on the edge of their seats, wondering what the mysterious tank in the back of Mr. Sanders’s room is for! Through an investigative interview, Meelah and Maddi have behind-the-scenes input on Mr. Sanders’s deep thoughts about what should live in this wonderful tank. Many people suspect this tank could end up being a home for bull frogs, axolotls, or even a hammerhead shark—although it would be a sad life for that shark in such a small tank. So, after all the different theories and the increase in anticipation of what could potentially be a new class pet, Meelah and Maddi decided to get to the bottom of this mystery and conduct an interview with Mr. Sanders to narrow down these possibilities.
To start off the interview Maddi and Meelah asked Mr. Sanders what he is considering putting in the tank and he responded with “lots of different fish…possibly”. Then he was asked what type of fish and he replied “tropical fish…maybe”. Another consideration of Mr. Sanders’s is putting axolotl in the tank as he has experience breeding salamanders, although he is worried about keeping the water cold enough for them. Another concern that Mr. Sanders has, as a salamander enthusiast, is the well being of potential salamanders as he states “I don’t trust any of these humans to not kill my salamanders”. Maddi and Meelah also questioned Mrs. Harms and Mrs. Newman about what their guesses for what will live in the tank, Mrs.Harms believes there will be some kind of salamander (which we’ve found out is painfully incorrect) and Mrs.Newman thinks fish will be put in the tank.
And just when Maddi and Meelah thought they got to the bottom of what Mr. Sanders will put in the tank, he threw a curve ball, saying…
