Senior Snapshot: Mary Schinzel
Graduation is fast approaching, and the realization that it’s almost the end of high school is setting in with the senior class. As the final months of the school year approach, we’ll take a look at a couple different seniors, taking a snapshot of their life and sharing their story with all.
Senior Mary Schinzel has been at BT since sixth grade and has developed passions for a variety of activities. She shared one of her favorite parts of BT: “I love the theater program and all the opportunities it brings.” For the fall musical, Mary was stage manager: “It was a great experience and I loved learning how to do light design and sound. It was an amazing time that I am very happy I was able to participate in.”
Other than theater, Mary participates in several other activities including science bowl and quiz bowl. She shared, “I loved going to quiz bowl meets in the morning and practice questions.”
As the end of high school approaches, Schinzel said, “I’m excited about my future but I will miss all my classmates.” She is excited about college and can’t wait to explore a new environment. When asked what she’s most looking forward to in college, she shared, “trying new activities and picking a major.”
High school is fun and tiring, and Mary ended by sharing one piece of advice for any incoming freshmen: “Try as many things as you can.”
