Breaking News: Josh Allen Leads Bills To Last Minute Win

With the Chiefs not making it to the 2026 playoffs, many hearts (especially mine) are broken. Though, last night’s wild-card round has put the spotlight on quarterback Josh Allen. The Buffalo Bills were put up against the Jacksonville Jaguars and their quarterback, Trevor Lawrence.

Josh Allen, “the Bills’ Superman” as NFL writer Kevin Petra calls him, “played a nearly perfect game”. This was despite being checked for a concussion, hurting his hand, and twisting his knee.

The game was pretty close throughout the first three quarters with a couple touchdowns. By the start of the fourth quarter, the Bills led 13 to 10. Fast forward to the end of fourth quarter and with little over two minutes left, Allen made a 36 yard pass to wide receiver Brandin Cooks.

The game winning touchdown was nail biting to watch, as the team carried Allen from the 11 yard line– which is called a “tush-push”. After reviewing the original touchdown play, the call was overruled and the Bills were put at 1st & goal. It was an easy shove for them and they successfully scored, the ball in the hands of Josh Allen.

The Jaguar’s last play happened quickly: Lawrence threw the ball up the field, Bills cornerback Tre’Davious White tipped it, and it swiftly fell into the hands of Bills safety Cole Bishop for an interception. With the ball back in the hands of the Bills, the game had finished.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have been eliminated from the NFL playoffs and AFC bracket. The Buffalo Bill’s remain the lowest seed and are now put up against the top seed, the Denver Broncos. With hopes of repeating their success last season against the Broncos, the Bills trek on.
