Happy Earth Day!

Verbatim staff shares images of their favorite natural places to help celebrate the annual recognition of Earth’s beautiful fragility.
“I dreamed that I floated at will in the great Ether, and I saw this world floating also not far off, but diminished to the size of an apple. Then an angel took it in his hand and brought it to me and said, ‘This must thou eat.’ And I ate the world.” Ralph Waldo Emerson

This year’s celebration of Earth Day is extra special because for the first time ever the Artemis II astronauts captured an image of “Earthset” from the far side of the moon. BT students are a well-traveled group, and these images are a strong representation of the diverse and remarkable flora, fauna, topography, and atmosphere of planet Earth. As many have noted, there is no “Planet B,” so we should all take time today to appreciate what we have, and take steps in our daily lives to ensure that this beautiful world stays that way for generations to come.
