Breaking News: Super Bowl LX Finalized

It’s been an exciting NFL season, and quite unique considering the absence of the Kansas City Chiefs. We’ve seen upsets and overtime’s, but the teams moving on to the playoffs are not far from expected. The winners of the AFC conference is the second seed: the New England Patriots. Against them, the champions and top seed of the NFC conference: the Seattle Seahawks.

Quarterback Drake Maye has led his Patriots through a successful journey, finishing the regular season with a 14-3 record. They were ranked second in the AFC, and up against the Chargers in the wild card round. After a convincing 16-3 win over the Chargers, the Patriots beat the Texans 28-16 in their divisional round.

Finally they were up against the top seeded Denver Broncos— a snowy and low-scoring game. This will be the Patriot’s 12th Super Bowl and will give them a chance to take the title of most Super Bowl wins.

Originally a backup quarterback, Sam Darnold proved all doubts on him wrong. In the playoffs, the Seahawks started with a bye then demolished the 49ers (41-6). The Seahawks played a tight game against the Rams in the NFC championship, eventually winning with a 31-27 lead. A highlight was wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba with 153 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Super Bowl LX will take place on February 8th at 5:30 PM. ESPN’s matchup predictor favors the Seahawks, with a 60.2 to 39.8 percentage. Now, only one more question for this NFL season remains… Seahawks or Patriots?
