As the new year starts, students around school are thinking about their goals and what they want to work on in 2024. When asked if they accomplished last year’s goals, most students said they completed some of them, which shows that progress matters more than perfection. Only a small group said they met all their goals, while others admitted they didn’t quite get there.
When it came to New Year’s resolutions, students had a lot to say. Many focused on school-related goals like getting better grades, managing time more effectively, or staying more organized. Others shared personal goals such as reading more, eating healthier, being more active, or spending less time on social media. Some answers were thoughtful, while others were funny or random, showing that everyone approaches resolutions in their own way.
Students were also split on whether New Year’s resolutions are actually helpful. Some believe they’re a great way to stay motivated and make small improvements, even if the goals don’t last all year. Overall, the responses show that even if students don’t all agree on resolutions, the new year still feels like a fresh start and a chance to grow.
