In this episode of Raider Rush, co-hosts Abbi Gibbs and Nya Ping interview seniors Joslyn Stamp and Mahalet Kinde about cheerleading. Both Joslyn and Mahalet have been on the cheer team since their freshman year of high school and share insights on how they believe the program has developed over the four years. Joslyn discusses her role as a main base on the team, where she helps make stunts successful. Mahalet is a flyer for Joslyn’s stunt group; she is the face of each stunt, engaging with the crowd and embodying the true spirit of a BT Raider.

Abbi Gibbs is a current Senior at Brownell Talbot and this is her fourth year on the Verbatim staff. Abbi enjoys interviewing members of the BT community about activities and athletics. When she isn’t working on Verbatim, Abbi enjoys playing volleyball, basketball, and soccer. Outside of School, Abbi plays club soccer for Gretna and will be attending South Dakota State University next year to play division one soccer.
Nya Ping, Staff Writer
Nya Ping is currently a Senior at Brownell Talbot. This is her fourth year as a staff writer, and she enjoys interviewing members of the BT community about the year-round sports and activities taking place on campus. Outside of Verbatim, Nya participates in lacrosse, volleyball, basketball, and track.
