In this episode of Raider Rush, co-hosts Abbi Gibbs and Nya Ping sit down with senior Angel Bhandari and junior Wesley Wildes to talk about BT’s standout robotics team. Angel and Wesley are both members of Team 1028A, the program’s most successful team this season. Angel shares what it’s like to serve as the team’s main logbooker and reflects on how stepping into this role has helped her grow as a communicator over the years. Wesley, the team’s engineer and driver, explains how he spends countless hours learning every detail of the robot before competitions so he can perform at his best when it matters most. Together, Angel and Wesley recap the meets they’ve already competed in and give a behind-the-scenes look at how they’re gearing up for Worlds next month.

Abbi Gibbs is a current Senior at Brownell Talbot and this is her fourth year on the Verbatim staff. Abbi enjoys interviewing members of the BT community about activities and athletics. When she isn’t working on Verbatim, Abbi enjoys playing volleyball, basketball, and soccer. Outside of School, Abbi plays club soccer for Gretna and will be attending South Dakota State University next year to play division one soccer.

Nya Ping is currently a Senior at Brownell Talbot. This is her fourth year as a staff writer, and she enjoys interviewing members of the BT community about the year-round sports and activities taking place on campus. Outside of Verbatim, Nya participates in lacrosse, volleyball, basketball, and track.
