Our group of music reviewers is rejoined by an original member and visit with a member of the BT community who brings a lot of live-music experience to the discussion.
January brought an exciting theme to Sound Clash: live music. This was a theme that we had surprisingly not explored before on this podcast, and there was not a better guest to bring than BT music teacher Mr. DeSalvo.
Cameron Vakili is a junior at Brownell Talbot and a third year Verbatim contributor. He covers music through his podcast, Sound Clash, as well as performing “deep-dive” investigations into hot topics. Cameron also spearheaded Verbatim‘s website redesign and contributed to the publication’s updated branding and logo. Outside journalism, you’ll find him gigging with his band, swimming, and researching/building AI agents.
Gavin Vernon is currently a junior attending Brownell Talbot School. He enjoys conversing with others about music and the stories behind songs, and hence interviews staff members about different types of music that they listen to. Outside of Verbatim, Gavin participates in Football, Powerlifting, Math Competition, and Academic Decathlon. Additionally, he is the founder for the brand new Stock Market Competition club for the 2025-26 school year.
Aiden is a junior at Brownell Talbot. This is his third year writing for Verbatim. He is involved with band, theater, tennis, and journalism.
Outside of school, he enjoys traveling, cooking, and playing music.
